Coburn and Baker are a thriving Artisan Bakery established in Brighton in 2000. Dedicated to wholesale, we work behind the scenes supplying hand crafted sourdough and artisan breads, fine patisserie and unique cakes and tarts every morning to discerning hotels, restaurants, gourmet shops, cafes and caterers throughout Sussex and beyond.
At our bakery in Hove our talented team of bakers and pastry chefs bake 7 days a week, using quality ingredients and traditional methods and taking inspiration from classical English, European, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern baking.
Proud of our and wholesome traditional and contemporary baking, we update our menus regularly with seasonal additions and provide a truly individual service to our customers, regularly creating new and exciting products alongside the changes in season and demand.
We specialise in Gluten Free and Vegan baking and have a unique range of products for this market. All our gluten free items are made in our dedicated gluten free production room on site.

At Coburn and Baker we strive daily to balance running a thriving bakery and uphold the ethics of the business we have always believed in. Coburn and Baker is a vegetarian bakery and we don’t use meat or fish in our baking. We bake only with free range eggs and make a unique line of vegan products alongside our other ranges.
We use a local Brighton company to recycle as much of our waste as current services allow and have always paid our staff a living wage. We have watched our business grow and expand over the last two decades but are still in essence a small family business where the directors regularly take a shift on the bakery floor!
